Dr. Robertson, "Joanna" as she prefers to be called is one of the best physicians that are practicing here in the state of Delaware. Beachfront Clinic has the most caring staff that sit and listen to your concerns and explains things so that one can understand fully and comprehend their diagnosis s and instructions on how to deal with any circumstances that arise. It is so nice to finally have a primary care team that I and my husband can fully trust putting our lives in their hands without worries. I surely wish there were more doctors like her here in the state of Delaware with the knowledge and bed side manner that she possesses.

I had such a great experience at Beachfront Internal Medicine today!! The office was super clean and inviting, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier—everyone was full of smiles and made me feel so comfortable. The check-in process was quick and easy, and I was taken back almost immediately. I barely had any wait time once I was in the room, which was such a nice surprise. The nurse practitioner Joanna I saw was amazing!! She was so joyful and comforting, which made it easy to talk about my medical history. She really listened and was extremely knowledgeable. She even suggested running some routine blood work as a preventative since she noticed I hadn’t had any done in years—something my previous doctors never mentioned. Scheduling was also a breeze, and I really appreciated the reminder texts leading up to my visit. I’m so glad I found this place—definitely the best healthcare experience I’ve had in a very long time!!

Joanna is amazing. She spent an hour with me my first visit as psych doctor and got all my background information. Above all that, the warmth and comfort you feel. You’re safe to open up to her. She can prescribe medicine if she sees fit , just in case you’re wondering. She listens to your concerns and goes from there. All in all. Just super convenient. Super friendly. Super caring. What else could you ask for? If you don’t have a psych doctor or a primary doctor Joanna is the one to go to. Perfect location for anyone in lewes or Rehoboth or any surrounding areas. As usual she is smiling and very nice then I saw the new nurse Kim( if I got the wrong name sorry) she asks you general questions like what meds you take etc. also very nice and pleasant then you Dr.Joanne she is also smiling she asks how your doing she actually listens to you and looks at you when your talking she takes her time and let's you talk I can talk forever as she makes you feel comfortable it's almost like it's not a Dr'soffice I usually get nervous going to the Doctors but not there it's my 2nd visit there I actually enjoying going there how many people can say that ? All my office visits have been an excellent experience. The office staff is friendly and professional. The doctor is never rushed, listens and ask questions to understand my condition. I have never had such a caring and kind Doctor.

Joanna is professional and friendly, easy to talk to. She is a great listener. She always seems interested in my behavior changes since a stroke in February 2024. She has been the reason I am dealing with this in a better way than I was at the beginning. It’s easier to share true feelings with her, things maybe you don’t want to share with family. Just see her on a monthly schedule leave all your upsets in her office.

So often I have been belittled by various Specialists who just didn't believe there is such a thing as Chronic Lyme Disease. I’ve lived here for 20 years. Recently I became very ill and was struggling to find a physician that would take the time to listen and really go through my medical needs in more than 30 min. Dr. Robertson, greeted me kindly, listened to my needs, reviewed all of my medical history with me, created a plan including my input. This type of care is rare in our area and I consider myself lucky to have found this practice. With limited mental health resources in the area the ability to have one stop shopping and total mind and body support is incredibly helpful. Very nice and easy to talk too. I moved from Florida 2 1/2 years ago and have had a hard time finding someone that's easy to talk too. And not having doubts. I felt at ease which was not easy due to having my primary doctor for 22 years and my orthopedic doctor for 17 years. So trying to find a new doctor at this stage of my life and having to explain all my physical problems and having to being told things I have to do before I can be helped like a RA doctor or PT things I've been through 22 years ago is like turning back the clock to 2005 and 100's of x-rays and MRIS Body scans surgeries etc. but Joanne actually looks at records and goes from there. That gives me hope. So yes I would refer my best friends to her.

I am fortunate enough to juggle my time between Washington, DC, and Lewes, DE. Recently my experience with my primary care physician in DC had became increasingly frustrating. The simple task of scheduling an appointment or requesting a refill turned into a lengthy ordeal, with endless waits on hold and a front desk reminiscent of high school cliques. You had the “meanies” along with the “inefficients” in an environment that had honestly become toxic. My health began to feel like an afterthought to the practice and the provider I saw. However, my perspective has recently shifted after I stumbled upon an article in the Cape Gazette introducing Joanna Robertson, DNP, FNP-BC, PMHNP, and her new practice, Beachfront Internal Medicine and Mental Health Clinic. Stepping into this whole new world felt like a breath of fresh air. Michelle, who oversees operations, exudes kindness and efficiency, setting a welcoming tone for the entire clinic. The facility itself boasts a modern and inviting atmosphere. As someone in the healthcare field, I understand the value of care provided by a Nurse Practitioner like Dr. Robertson (she has her doctorate). Her extensive expertise, including a specialization in mental health, sets her apart. Unlike typical MDs, Joanna's comprehensive three-year education in behavioral health ensures top-notch care for a range of conditions, from depression to ADHD. At the same time her qualifications allow her to treat most anything. The things that are out of her area of expertise, she refers to specialists in the area. They all love Michelle and Joanna, allowing you to get seen sooner than just coming in off the streets. (no promises but that has been my experience) Since becoming a patient, my quality of life has positively increased. I needed something the other day, it was the holiday & I expected to leave a message. Who answered the phone, Joanna. From receiving tailored medication to resolving minor ailments that would have previously required specialist referrals, every aspect of my care has been exceptional. This testimonial may read like an advertisement, but it's simply a heartfelt reflection of my newfound better health and satisfaction. Anytime you can remove an irritant like I was experiencing from your life, you are better off. In these times of such uncertainty, nothing should matter more than your own health and happiness. If you do not feel good, you cannot care for the ones who matter most to you.

Joanna is the most personable doctor I have ever had! She listens to you then gives great insight to what may be causing or has caused you problems She has been delightful to talk to and work with. I believe this is a start to a fantastic relationship. If you live in Lewes or Rehoboth Beach it is extremely easy get to being in the Sherman Gas complex behind Walgreens in Lewes. I'm sure in the future it will be even easier when she gets her sign up on the building.

Joanna is very personable and thorough. She is not the kind of practitioner that throws medicine at you for the sake of it. She looks at your health holistically and prescribes individualized treatment plans. Her office is nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. I wish I would have found her sooner.

Joanna asks a lot of questions. She is very thorough. On your intake paperwork, she has 3 diagnostic tools to determine if your are depressed or experiencing PTSD. She thoroughly listens to your concerns and offers several solutions for us to decide upon. She is super friendly. She is the best psychiatrist I have had since we moved to the beach 7 years ago; a true gem.
